The Philippine National Police (PNP) has taken security measures for the return of the national team from the recently concluded Olympic Games in Paris.

In a statement Tuesday, PNP spokesman Col. Jean Fajardo said the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) had been tasked with maintaining peace and order for the return of the Philippine Olympic team.
“We are now preparing to give them a hero’s welcome. So on behalf of the PNP, we will ensure that we provide adequate personnel to ensure safety during the homecoming of our Filipino athletes,” Fajardo said.
The team has left Dubai and is on its way to Manila, and is expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday evening.
