With President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordering all Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to cease operations by the end of this year, Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Norman Tansingco has ordered these companies to reduce the work visas of their foreign employees.

“Companies are expected to comply with this directive and apply to reduce the visas of their employees. They must then leave the country within 59 days from the date of the reduction order,” he said.
In addition, the Commissioner said that the BI will soon issue a cancellation order for all visas issued under POGOs or Internet Gaming Licenses (IGLs).
The commissioner warned that foreign POGO workers who refuse to leave the country risk being deported.
