A new way to collect Pokémon cards and battle other Trainers is coming soon.
“Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket,” a brand-new app game that innovates traditional, physical card collecting, launches worldwide on October 30. Fans can pre-register for the game on the App Store and Google Play.
In “Pokémon TCG Pocket,” players can open two booster packs per day and collect digital cards with special visual effects and nostalgic illustrations that can only be found in the app. There is also a battle mode that allows players to simulate the physical trading card game that has become increasingly popular over the 28 years of “Pokémon.” Check out the trailer for “Pokémon TCG Pocket” below.
Following the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, the company also announced the return of popular Trainer’s Cards to the trading card game. In the past, specialized cards like Misty’s Starmie, Rocket’s Scyther, and Brock’s Onix paid homage to popular characters from the anime and video games “Pokémon.” Next year will see the return of the Trainer’s Cards format, including Lillie’s Clefairy EX, Marnie’s Grimmsnarl EX, N’s Zoroark EX, and N’s Reshiram. The new trailer also teased the return of cards inspired by the villainous Team Rocket.
