Prince Harry has been told by a High Court judge in London that he cannot claim that he was the victim of listening and tracking devices.
Judge says Prince Harry 'acted on suspicion' after phone tap
Harry has been suing News Group Newspapers, publisher of The Sun newspaper, for six years over alleged unlawful gathering of information by journalists and their contractors.
The Times of London reports that the judge ruled Friday that Harry must settle or face trial in January. He allowed Harry's legal team to make certain changes, but refused to let them include allegations that listening devices had been placed in rooms and cars and that trackers had been placed on vehicles. He said: "No details have been provided about such allegations."
In his summing up, Judge Fancourt described the trial as a campaign between “two unyielding but well-resourced armies” that is taking up “more than an appropriate” amount of the court’s time.
