While the strike-delayed 2023-24 TV season is only just getting underway, we’re already sounding the alarm about seven series that have aired. The shows below — four scripted, three unscripted/nonfiction — are lagging behind other shows on their networks. And most of the returning shows on the list have seen double-digit ratings drops.

There are still a few season premieres left to air, but as far as the TV season goes, these are the shows (and their series finale ratings) that have us worried so far.
The docuseries made the jump from Paramount+ to CBS for Season 4, but so far this season it ranks second-to-last for CBS shows – both in terms of average demo rating (18-49) and average total viewers – even ahead of the already-clinched Loteria Loca.
The Great North appears to be in decline in the ratings. The Fox animated series is down more than 52 percent in the 18-to-49 demo rating and more than 42 percent in total viewers, compared to last season's averages.
