Netflix is teaming up with Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning writer, director, comedian and actor Ramy Youssef. Youssef has signed a first-look deal with the streamer that will see him develop and create series projects through his production company Cairo Cowboy.

Netflix first worked with Youssef as an executive producer on the critically acclaimed series Mo, which he co-created with Mo Amer. The series has won numerous awards, including a Peabody, Gotham Award, TV Academy Honors, and an AFI Awards Honoree. Mo is currently in post-production on its second season, which will conclude the story.
Netflix's next collaboration with Youssef is as co-creator and executive producer of the comedy series Golf, in which he will also have a role.
Cairo Cowboy’s slate of shows includes Hulu and A24’s Golden Globe and Peabody Award-winning Ramy , now streaming in its third season; along with Netflix’s Gotham and Peabody Award-winning Mo , starring comedian Mo Amer, which is set to return in 2024.
