We're almost at Alien: Romulus, folks. Today we're going to be looking at the top 10 best kills from the Alien Franchise. Read on and try not to be too squeamish, because there have been some phenomenal Alien kills over the years.

Alien Romulus: The Best and Worst Alien Movie in Decades (Spoiler Review)

Purvis – Alien: Resurrection (1997)If straight-up sci-fi camp is your preferred entertainment, look no further than Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s wacky, if not absurd, Alien: Resurrection. Despite solid performances from Sigourney Weaver and Winona Ryder, the fourth film lacks the artistic flourishes of the previous three, trading brains for wacky, B-movie shenanigans. The madness reaches its peak when a man named Purvis uses a Chestburster to take out a bad guy, a ridiculous moment that propels Resurrection into sci-fi movie territory.

Burke – Aliens (1986)In terms of satisfying deaths, Carter Burke’s death in James Cameron’s Aliens takes the cake. Especially after the lying, manipulative weasel leaves a pair of Facehuggers in Ripley and Newt’s room, hoping to bring Xenomorph embryos back to the company in exchange for money. We don’t actually see Burke die. In fact, a deleted scene gives the man a very different (but no less satisfying) fate. Considering he was single-handedly responsible for the events of Aliens, he deserves everything he gets.

10) Engineer – Prometheus (2012)Flawed but ultimately fascinating, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus takes a very different approach to the Alien saga, exploring heady concepts surrounding the creation of man, religion, and the dangers of artificial intelligence. Still, Scott makes sure to give viewers a few glimpses of brutal Xenomorph action, none more terrifying than the Engineer’s demise at the squishy hands of a giant starfish. Despite his immense strength, the Engineer is unable to tear himself free of his attacker and ultimately succumbs to his fate. Weird.
