Nelly ARRESTED for Possession of Ecstasy in Missouri | E! News
Rapper Nelly was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of possession of ecstasy pills and no insurance, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The 49-year-old rapper (real name Cornell Haynes II) left the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, near St. Louis, around 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday. He was stopped for an ID check by the Missouri Gaming Commission and subsequently arrested on a previous warrant he had for failing to maintain auto insurance.
He was also accused of having four ecstasy pills, according to police records. Nelly was taken to and then released from the Maryland Heights Police Department custody.
