A Lovecraftian body horror film for the ages, The Beach House stars Liana Liberato as a young woman vacationing at her boyfriend’s parent’s beach house and is a great film to start our list of underrated beach horror films. However, things get weird when they discover that there’s another older couple already staying at the house.
While the elderly couple's appearance is odd, the real danger lurks in the water. The film has a lot to say about global warming and contains some gruesome scenes, most notably one in which Liberato's character removes a worm-like creature from her foot.
