The Record Plant, the iconic Los Angeles recording studio that claims to have produced more hit songs and Grammy Award-winning music than any other studio in the world, is closing its doors after 55 years.
Record Plant Recording Studios in Hollywood opened in 1969, following the opening of a New York location, which closed in 1987. Another location in Sausalito closed in 2008.
The list of best-sellers filmed in LA includes Hotel California by Eagles, Appetite for Destruction by Guns N' Roses and Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.
