Redwood, the new musical starring Idina Menzel returning to Broadway, will open at the Nederlander Theatre on January 24, 2025, with a scheduled premiere on February 13.

The dates and location for the previously announced production were announced today by producers Eva Price, Caroline Kaplan and Loudmouth Media.
Redwood is written and directed by Tina Landau (Mother Play, The SpongeBob Musical) and features music by Kate Diaz and lyrics by Diaz and Landau. The musical was created by Landau and Menzel, with additional contributions by Menzel, and premiered earlier this year in a sold-out performance at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego.
"I made my Broadway debut at the Nederlander Theatre in Rent almost thirty years ago," Menzel said in a statement, "so to return there with Redwood is very emotional for me because it feels like a true homecoming. It has been such a gift to work with Tina and Kate on this show, and I am so proud to bring it to Broadway."
