Netflix has announced the release date for its latest sports biographical drama series Senna, starring Ferrari's Gabriel Leone, who plays the role of the late Formula 1 champion Ayrton Senna.

"Over the course of six episodes, Senna will portray for the first time Ayrton's journey of overcoming obstacles, ups and downs, joys and sorrows, exploring his personality and personal relationships," reads the official logline. "The starting point will be the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion's racing career when he moved to England to compete in Formula Ford, all the way to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix."
Senna is set to debut exclusively on Netflix on November 29th. Additionally, the streamer has also shared its first official key art poster, featuring a new look at Leone's portrayal of the titular Brazilian racer.
Senna is directed by Vicente Amorim and Júlia Rezende, with Amorim also serving as showrunner. In addition to Leone, the miniseries also stars Pâmela Tomé, Matt Mella, Patrick Kennedy, Gabriel Louchard as Galvão Bueno, Alice Wegmann, Camila Márdila, Christian Malheiros, Hugo Bonemer, Julia Foti, Marco Ricca, Susana Ribeiro, Kaya Scodelario, Arnaud Viard, Joe Hurst, Johannes Heinrichs, Keisuke Hoashi, Leon Ockenden, Richard Clothier, Steven Mackintosh and Tom Mannion. The creative team also includes lead writer Gustavo Bragança, along with producers Fabiano Gullane and Caio Gullane.
