EXCLUSIVE: Sally Wainwright's Renegade Nell will only air on Disney+ for a first season.
The series about a quick-witted outlaw in 18th-century England, which was the legendary British writer’s first for a streamer, launched a few months ago. We’re hearing that the series has yet to reach the threshold for a Disney+ renewal based on various metrics, the cast, creative and production staff at the show’s producer, Lookout Point, have told us.
Renegade Nell was unveiled to much fanfare three years ago and was one of the most talked-about series ordered by Disney+'s UK office.
