WWE United States Champion LA Knight has been putting on some impressive performances on SmackDown recently. In August, he captured his first main roster singles title at WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio.
LA Knight is ready for SmackDown's move to USA Network. Are you?
Knight defeated Logan Paul, who held the title for 279 days. Paul defended the title only twice before facing Knight. Despite fan criticism of Paul's title reign, reports indicate that backstage officials viewed it positively and appreciated the extensive publicity Paul brought to the championship through his numerous high-profile performances.
Since claiming the WWE United States Championship, Knight has actively defended it on the WWE SmackDown brand. He has faced Santos Escobar, Ludwig Kaiser and Andrade in three successful title defenses since winning at WWE SummerSlam. Despite being a fighting champion, however, WWE has not booked him in a feud.
Recently, WWE added Knight to the ongoing feud between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. The two stars have competed against each other in a series of matches, with each picking up three victories. With Knight now involved, recent reports suggest that WWE has major plans for him, as he is reportedly set to feud with none other than Randy Orton.
