According to Nielsen, the final night of the Republican National Convention, which aired Donald Trump’s acceptance speech, drew 25.38 million viewers on Thursday, up from the same night in 2020.

According to Nielsen, the audience peaked at 28.4 million viewers between 10:45 and 11 p.m. Eastern Time, as Trump recounted the attempted assassination on his life.
The Nielsen numbers are split across 14 networks and are measured from 10:00 p.m. ET to 12:15 a.m. ET.
An estimated 23.81 million people watched the final night of the 2020 convention. However, the 2024 audience was smaller than in 2016, when Trump's acceptance speech drew 32.2 million people.
