House of Representatives Committee on Information and Communications Technology Chairman and Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco expressed his full support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s commitment to ICT-driven development and program implementation initiatives.

“I am very pleased that our President has included enhanced connectivity, expanded internet access, cybersecurity and streamlining digital technology in his SONA. This clearly underscores the value of technology in our country’s development goals,” Tiangco said.
“During the President’s SONA meeting, we heard how invaluable ICT is in critical initiatives such as education, employment, connectivity, disaster management, crime prevention, information management and even the delivery of services to the Filipinos,” he added.
In his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22, Marcos called information technology one of the main pillars of his administration and emphasized efforts to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure.
