Robert Kennedy Jr. apologized to Donald Trump on Tuesday after video was released of a phone call with the former president in which he sounded like he was trying to convince him to support him.
RFK Jr. Apologizes for Recording Donald Trump Phone Call
"When President Trump called me, I was recording with an in-house videographer," Kennedy wrote on X/Twitter. "I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am embarrassed that this was posted. I apologize to the President."
Kennedy's son, Robert Kennedy III, posted the video to X/Twitter but has since deleted it.
In the video, Trump addressed Kennedy's central issue, with the former president embracing RFK Jr.'s skepticism about the vaccine. Then it sounded as if the former president was trying to sway him for an endorsement or a role in his campaign.
