Robin Padilla calls for 'strong defense' for Duterte amid ICC investigation
“Despite the achievements of the Marcos administration in its bloodless war against dangerous drugs, problems have arisen regarding the security breach of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA),” said Padilla, who filed Senate Resolution 1131.
The senator said this “should be a matter of serious concern as it is one of the government agencies responsible for the efficient and effective enforcement of all provisions on dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals as provided in RA 9165.”
Padilla, in his resolution, expressed the concerns of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that 440 of the 6,000 high-value targets arrested were government employees.
