President Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on Wednesday called for more public-private partnership projects to modernize the country's infrastructure to promote progress and development and improve the lives of Filipinos.

Romualdez made his appeal during the groundbreaking ceremonies for the third Candaba flyover project of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) and NLEx Corp., held in Pulilan, Bulacan.
“The Candaba Third Viaduct serves as a symbol of the fruitful collaboration between the government and the private sector. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together toward a common goal,” Romualdez said.
The project, expected to be completed in November 2024, involves expanding the existing viaduct structure by adding inner and outer shoulders in both directions.
