President Ferdinand Martin Romualdez said gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo proved to be an exceptional Filipino athlete after winning his second gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Carlos Edriel Yulo has proven to be a once-in-a-century Filipino athlete,” Romualdez said.

“His remarkable performance at the Paris Olympics, winning two golds on both floor exercise and vault, is a testament to his hard work, perseverance and exceptional skills,” he added.

Last Saturday, Yulo won a gold medal on the men's floor exercise and another on the men's vault.
