President Ferdinand Martin Romualdez praised the decisive stance of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the issues of the Western Philippine Sea, Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) and illegal drugs.

“The President's declaration that the WPS is rightfully ours is a powerful affirmation of our national sovereignty,” Romualdez said, referring to Marcos's claim that the WPS is not just an imagination but a reality that belongs to the Philippines.
Romualdez said the President's expression of gratitude to the military, coast guard and fishermen for their tireless efforts in defending the WPS “underscores their vital role in upholding national integrity.”
“The message that the Philippines must not give in or waver in its position is crucial to maintaining our national pride and asserting our rightful claims,” he said.
