Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez has directed the House of Representatives Committee on Budgets to secure funding for the repair of the Tangos-Tanza Navigation Gate in the city of Navotas.

“The recent typhoon exposed critical weaknesses in our infrastructure and the damaged Navotas floodgate significantly exacerbated flooding in Metro Manila. Immediate action is essential,” Romualdez said.
“We must immediately allocate the necessary funds to repair and strengthen the port so that it can withstand future typhoons and protect our communities,” Romualdez told Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co, chairman of the budget panel.
Romualdez, Co, Senior Vice President Aurelio Gonzales Jr., Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco, Navotas Mayor John Rey Tiangco and other local officials inspected the Tangos-Tanza Navigation Gate last Thursday.
