Brian Henson on the Emmy-Nominated Documentary 'Jim Henson Idea Man': A Visionary, a Legacy and Kermit the Frog
Ron Howard's Jim Henson Idea Man topped the documentary categories when nominations were announced for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards. There were eight nominees in all, three more than the second-most nominated documentary.
Nominations include: Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program for Howard, recognition for writer Mark Monroe, cinematographers Igor Martinovic and Vanja Cernjul, picture editors Sierra Neal and Paul Crowder, the sound editing and mixing teams, and David Fleming's music.
"We're so excited. What an honor from the Academy," said Imagine Documentaries President Sara Bernstein, herself nominated for the Jim Henson production Idea Man. "We're so excited."
