Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch were a long-awaited dream match that never happened in WWE. Despite both stars being at their peak, WWE never booked them for a singles match. After taking a hiatus following her initial run in WWE, Rousey will return at the 2022 Royal Rumble.

Following her victory at the Women's Royal Rumble, many fans expected Rousey to challenge Becky Lynch. Instead, she opted to face Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women's Title at WrestleMania 38. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch lost her RAW Women's Championship to Bianca Belair at the same event.
Even a year later, with Rousey on SmackDown and Lynch on RAW, their match never happened. Fans hoped they would clash at WrestleMania 39, but that didn't happen. Lynch competed in a trios tag team match, while Rousey appeared in a fatal four-way tag team match with Shayna Baszler.
Rousey left WWE a few months after WrestleMania 39, where she faced Shayna Baszler in her final WWE match at SummerSlam. Following her departure, Rousey made a few independent wrestling appearances. Rousey recently revealed on Chris Van Vliet's podcast that former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was responsible for her match against Becky Lynch not being booked.
