Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his appreciation for Wesley Snipes' Blade, sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from his reunion with the veteran action star. It's been two decades since Reynolds and Snipes first starred together in Blade: Trinity, the latter's final solo film as the iconic Daywalker.

Reynolds credits Wesley Snipes' Blade for paving the way for the creation of the Fox Marvel Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For this reason, he believes Marvel Studios should give Snipes a farewell Blade film similar to Hugh Jackman's 2017 film Logan.

Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay by Reynolds, Levy Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. The three-part film features returning Marvel stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.
