Brazil's Gabriela Amaral Almeida's "She, Crocodile," Victoria Galardi's "Hedgehogs" and Mexico's Astrid Rondero and Fernanda Valadez's "Rambler" are among the 14 projects being launched at the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum in San Sebastian.

Other titles are by admired, established directors – the Argentinian Santiago Loza, the Bolivian Martin Boulocq – or fast-rising directors such as the Cuban Rosa Maria Rodríguez, the Argentinian Natalia Meta, the Paraguayan Pablo Lamar and the Mexico-based Natalia López Gallardo.
The program features one of the strongest line-ups in years and is based on the appeal of the largest Latin American co-production event in Europe, the need to boost co-production to cope with rising costs and the specific issues of the Argentine film industry.
“She, Crocodile” is the first feature film from New York City and São Paulo-based South, the new production company founded by “Queen of the South” leading lady Alice Braga and “3%” star Bianca Comparato. The film is directed by one of Latin America’s leading genre auteurs, Amaral Almeida, who came on the scene in 2017 with “Friendly Beast.”
