According to the SC Public Information Office (SCPIO), Acting Chief Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa made this announcement on Tuesday, June 20, during the courtesy visit of a delegation led by Turkish Ombudsman Seref Malkoc and Turkish Ambassador Niyazi Evren Akyol.
“Given the broad and extensive role of the Ombudsman, perhaps there are practices in your office that could be useful to us, even if we are the judiciary, and perhaps there are some practices that we are implementing now that could be useful to you,” Caguioa told the Turkish delegation.
“Perhaps this is the beginning of an information exchange that we can look forward to in the future,” he noted.
