Face to Face with Scott Peterson | Official trailer | Peacock Original
Scott Peterson gives his first interview in Peacock's Face to Face with Scott Peterson documentary. He has been serving a life sentence for more than two decades for the murders of his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Conner. People Magazine reports that the convicted killer will continue to maintain his innocence in the upcoming three-part documentary series. The docuseries is set to premiere on August 20, 2024.
In an exclusive report, the outlet said that Face to Face with Scott Peterson documentary director Shareen Anderson spoke about her conversations with the inmate. Anderson claimed that Scott, who is currently serving his sentence at Mule Creek State Prison in California, is "optimistic and confident" that ongoing efforts to free him will be successful. Earlier this year, the Los Angeles Innocence Project began investigating his "claims of actual innocence." The organization believes DNA evidence could prove Scott's innocence.
The interview between Scott Peterson and Shareen Anderson took place via video call. In the video call, Scott asserted, "I did not kill my family," and claimed that the "so-called investigation" was based on circumstantial evidence. He also claimed that prosecutors and investigators ignored other potential leads that could have led them to Laci Peterson and the real killer(s) of their unborn son.
