EXCLUSIVE: Leah McKendrick is set to write and direct a folklore-based Untitled Monster Project for Atomic Monster and Universal Pictures. James Wan will produce the project with Michael Clear and Judson Scott serving as executive producers. Alayna Glasthal will oversee the project for Atomic Monster.

No plot details are revealed, other than that it involves a mythical monster.
McKendrick is best known as the writer, director, and star of Scrambled, which was released in theaters this year by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. The film was produced by Jonathan Levine's Megamix and originally premiered at SXSW and received rave reviews upon its premiere, with a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. You can find the film now on Hulu.
She recently set up her feature film script Voicemails For Isabelle at Netflix, with Escape Artists producing and McKendrick directing.
