Fans have been hoping for a Scrubs reboot for a while now, and series creator Bill Lawrence recently gave an update on the possibility of the series.
Scrubs Reboot is Coming! Bill Lawrence Confirmed
Lawrence, who is also one of the co-creators of the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, jokingly admitted in an interview with Variety that he's hinted at a possible Scrubs reboot in the past, only to dodge questions about Ted Lasso.
Now that the show is over, Lawrence revealed that there was actually some movement on a potential reboot. The biggest thing holding them back, Lawrence says, is a lot of the business side of things.
"The business part can always get screwed up. But I'm super hopeful," Lawrence said. "It would be fun to do, not just because we want an excuse to hang out, but because it would be fun to do creatively. You don't want to just send it out. But it would be interesting to see those characters get older and see what the new young kids in medicine look like now, because it's a heroic profession and no one does it to get rich."
