The popular military drama SEAL Team has ended after seven seasons, bringing the story of Jason Hayes, his crew, and their families to a close. Boreanaz is one of television’s biggest stars with multiple hits to his name. Before Hayez, he played FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth on 12 seasons of Fox’s police procedural series Bones. He recently discussed the prospects of a Bones revival and what its storyline might be.
David Boreanaz Talks Final Season of "SEAL Team"
In a recent interview with Variety , Boreanaz said he would consider returning for a Bones revival. However, he said it would have to be a limited series and not "this long, long thing" like the original show. "Trust me: It's not something I'm focused on right now in my life where I'm at, but it's the one show I would consider — and I will say consider," he added.
When asked where his and Deschanel's characters would be now, Boreanaz speculated, "Booth would probably be inducted into Quantico, into the real FBI. We would have a daughter who was at least 15, 16. She would go to college, probably study the tactics of wanting to be an FBI agent, which would drive her mother crazy. And maybe she changes course and takes a forensic anthropology class within that program to become an FBI agent. Who knows?"
Boreanaz explained that Booth would likely retire before he "gets pulled back into a case," while Brennan would "write books and get accolades" and "have to go to the FBI in light of this award that I'm getting." He added, "And then the s*** hits the fan. I can see it, man!" According to Boreanaz, this storyline would be "hilarious." He mused, "My daughter could actually actively train with the FBI, which would be pretty funny."
