“The Senate investigation into the massive oil spill caused by the ill-fated M/T Terranova will conclude on August 13,” he said.
The hearing was scheduled after Tolentino filed Senate Resolution 1084 on July 27, directing the Senate Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change to investigate the oil spill.
“We must put in place stronger mechanisms to prevent such incidents and improve our capacity to respond immediately to contain, clean up and mitigate the impact of this toxic substance on the fishing industry and the environment,” the senator said.
