The company announced that they are working with Universal Pictures to bring the world of Shinobi to the big screen. A director and writer have also been attached for the project, with Sam Hargrave (the Extraction series) set to direct the project and Ken Kobayashi (Sunny) set to adapt the screenplay for the film.
At this time, there is no word yet on casting, plot, or much else about the film. Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will produce through Marc Platt Productions. Dmitri M. The Shinobi series debuted in 1987 as an arcade game and quickly became a huge hit for Sega. There have been over 10 games released throughout its history, the last being 2011's Shinobi 3D. However, a new entry in the series is in the works, with more to be revealed in the future.
