Artistic masterpiece will sell for millions
EXCLUSIVE: Shtisel, the hit Israeli drama from Yes Studios starring Shira Haas and Michael Aloni, is coming to Arte.
The European network has picked up all three seasons of the drama in a non-exclusive deal for its arte.tv VoD player, months after it picked up Israeli roommate comedy Bloody Murray. Shtisel was previously available on Netflix in the territory.
Shtisel, which began more than a decade ago and stars Aloni (The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, 8200), Haas (Unorthodox, Night Therapy), Dovale Glickman (Oslo, Laces) and Neta Riskin (Ghosts of Beirut, The Spy), follows the daily lives and loves of the extended Shtisel clan, a quarrelsome, ultra-Orthodox family living in modern-day Jerusalem.
