Simone Biles was born in March 1997 and was drawn to gymnastics from a young age. She decided to pursue it. Before making her debut as a senior competitor in 2013, Biles won several medals at national championships. According to Britannica, she made her international debut as a senior in 2013 and won the all-around title at her first World Gymnastics Championships. In 2014, she exceeded all expectations and won four gold medals at the world championships. She also won multiple medals at the 2015 edition. In total, she won 14 medals at the world championships, including 10 gold, before making her Olympic debut in 2016.
After winning multiple medals, Simone Biles represented Team USA at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The gymnast did not disappoint, winning five medals in her first-ever Olympics. According to the official Olympic website, Biles won gold in the team, all-around, vault, and floor events, becoming the fifth female gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Olympics. She also won a bronze medal on the balance beam. The athlete also represented the US at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, adding even more medals to her name.
