It’s a buoyant weekend at the box office, with indie distributor Neon’s deluxe horror Longlegs cleaning up with a $22 million opening.

India 2, the Tamil-language (Tollywood) political action thriller and sequel to 1996's Indian from director S. Shankar, is expected to gross around $1.97 million from 1,065 theaters. Imax noted that the film earned $190,000 for North America in a single night with previews on 44 big screens. Popular Indian titles in recent weeks include the sci-fi epic Kalki 2899 A.D. and the romantic comedy Jat & Juliet 3.

Touch from Focus debuted in 315 theaters in North America. The critically acclaimed film holds a 95% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has opened strong, grossing $470k. A romantic thriller that spans decades and continents, it follows one man’s emotional journey to find his lost love.
