Interview With the Vampire completely rejects the sophomore slump.

The lavish AMC drama returns with a vengeance on Sunday, May 12, bringing Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) to Europe for their frantic hunt for more vampires in Season 2. That hunt leads them to Paris, where they encounter Armand (Assad Zaman) and his deliciously filthy coven at the Théâtres des Vampires (starring scene-stealing Ben Daniels as the vampire Santiago, who is sensuous).
The interview continues in Dubai with journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), who is less than pleased with the manipulation Louis and Armand pulled off in Season 1 when the 514-year-old vampire posed as the human assistant Rashid (the real Rashid is a character this season, played by Bally Gill). He is more determined than ever to dig through Louis’ memories, and what he and Armand don’t reveal, to uncover the truth of this bloody tale.
Louis is haunted by what the cast has dubbed "Dream-stat" in the Paris timeline (post-World War II). After attempting to murder his lover, Louis feels Lestat's (Sam Reid) presence all around him, pushing the boundaries of his psyche as Claudia desperately seeks to connect with more of their kind.
