SM Entertainment is all set to launch a new show that will showcase the best new Trot talent to a global audience. The music label will collaborate with TV Chosun for the new Trot show.

Korean media reported that the heads of two agencies met on August 12 to discuss the upcoming project. TV Chosun Vice President Bang Jeong-oh, SM Entertainment CEO Tak Young-jun, KMR CEO Lee Sung-soo, TV Chosun E&M CEO Ahn Seok-jun and producer Cho Young-soo met at the SM Entertainment building in Seongsu-dong to share details of the project.
For the uninitiated: Trot is a traditional South Korean music that is close to the listeners of the country. Some famous Trot musicians are Lim Young Woong and Jang Minho.
SM Entertainment and TV Chosun are launching a new five-member Trot group. The group will showcase their talent by blending K-pop and Trot worldwide.
