In a statement on Tuesday, the Department of Finance (DOF) said Teodoro views the MUP's contributions to the fund as an engine for national growth, provided the fund is managed wisely.
DOF Undersecretaries Maria Cielo Magno and Maria Luwalhati Dorotan-Tiuseco, National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon, Deputy Treasurer Erwin Sta. Ana and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Senior Vice Chairman George Ongkeko Jr. were present on Monday for the courtesy visit in line with their efforts to draft a bill that will ensure the sustainability of the MUP pension system.
In a Viber message to Philippine news agency PNA, Tiuseco said the discussions mainly revolved around the governance structure of the MUP pension fund.
