The Office of the Attorney General (OSG) has filed a quo warranto petition against suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo in a bid to nullify her proclamation from government office.

Attorney General Menardo Guevarra said the petition was filed in the Manila District Court (RTC) on Monday (July 29) after fingerprint results by the National Bureau of Investigation showed that she is a Chinese national, Guo Hua Ping.
“Guo Hua Ping, also known as Alice Leal Guo, is unlawfully holding the office and exercising the duties and responsibilities pertaining to the office of Mayor of Bamban, Tarlac,” Guevarra said.
“She is not a Filipino citizen; she is a Chinese citizen. Therefore, she is not eligible to run for public office,” he added.
