THE LAST ARGUMENT | WHO IS THE JUDGE? | Full Movie 2024 |
EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures Television has acquired the rights to Mira Jacobs’ latest novel We Killed Anji Alexander in a preempt deal for development as a prestige series after the book sold to Ecco Press in a seven-figure auction. The novel is set to be published in 2026.
We Killed Anji Alexander is a kaleidoscopic mystery that explores who is behind the murder of a white Indian actress. The film looks through the eyes of everyone who sees her, and explores issues of race, feminism, addiction and celebrity.
Jacobs' graphic memoir Good Talk: A Memoir in Conversations was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award, longlisted for the PEN Open Book Award, named a New York Times Notable Book, and a best book of the year by Time, Esquire, Publisher's Weekly, and Library Journal. It is currently in development as a television series. Her novel The Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing was a Barnes & Noble Discover New Writers choice, shortlisted for India's Tata First Literature Award, longlisted for the Brooklyn Literary Eagles Prize, and named one of the best books of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews, the Boston Globe, Goodreads, Bustle, and The Millions.
