EXCLUSIVE: Sophie Watts, the former co-founder and president of STX Entertainment, has joined the board of British animation company Two Daughters Entertainment.
The appointment was made with a view to expansion in the US.
Two Daughters Entertainment was founded in 2016 by James Reatchlous. Their first IP, Moley, began with a half-hour special and now airs in 180 countries in 30 languages, including on Peacock in the US. The company's feature films include The Land of Sometimes, starring Ewan McGregor, Mel Brooks and Helena Bonham Carter, is set for release in late 2025. Directed by Leon Joosen (Saving Santa), Bonnie Arnold (How to Train Your Dragon) and Alan Yentob (Billy Elliot) are executive producers alongside Two Daughters Executive Chairman James Reatchlous and CEO Simon Bobin.
