Suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has apologized to senators for any misunderstandings caused by her recent statements, just days after she complained about alleged “character assassination” aimed at her.

In a letter to Senate President Francis Escudero, Guo said her previous statement was solely intended to make suggestions based on the issues facing her constituents.
“[N]ais ko pong humingi ng paumanhin kung nagkaroon ng hindi pagkakaunawaan kaugnay ng aking mga naging pahayag. It may be that the intensity of the Senado's prayer is great,” she said.
“Nauunawaan ko po na ang bawat mambabatas ay may sariling tungkulin at responsibilidad sa bayan,” the mayor added.
