Letitia Wright steps back from collaboration with 'Sound of Hope'
The makers of The Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot apologize to Letitia Wright for the way they handled their partnership with right-wing media outlet The Daily Wire.
"As director, writers, and lead producers, we created this film in the hopes that it would ignite a movement to end the foster care crisis," director Josh Weigel and producer Rebekah Weigel of Peacetree Productions said in a statement via Angel Studios. "Letitia Wright championed this project with us, even choosing not to accept compensation for the sake of the cause. We are grateful for all she has done and regret that she was not made aware of the partnership with The Daily Wire. This was not handled well and we apologize for putting her in this position."
The duo said they were “deeply grateful for the tireless support of The Daily Wire and its hosts.”
