While debate continues over whether a drag queen scene at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper, speculation is mounting about the details of the closing ceremony on August 11.
Artistic director Thomas Jolly – who has received death threats after claims the scene was an insult to Christianity, although he insists it was inspired by Greek mythology and not the Bible – is also in charge of the closing ceremony and has continued to prepare for it amid the uproar.
