With Hollywood constantly reviving old franchises, Sandra Bullock has been weighing the possibility of Speed 3. While 1994's Speed became a classic, Speed 2: Cruise Control couldn't quite replicate its box office magic. But Bullock gave an update on what it would take to make Speed 3 happen with her and Keanu Reeves.
Keanu Reeves would be up for a sequel to 'Speed' with Sandra Bullock
Reeves and Bullock reunited with filmmaker Jan de Bont to celebrate Speed</em>'s 30th anniversary. A special screening was held at the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre's Beyond Fest, where Bullock discussed the potential prospects of Speed 3.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she said, "The geriatric version. It's not going to happen quickly." She then turned her attention to Bont and continued:
“All these things happened because of the crazy man in the green jacket there. He’s so gentle and kind today and I think, that’s not the man I remember. But he’s the man who put the energy and the idea together, knew what the audience wanted and demanded it from everybody and everybody stepped up to play it. So what would be that movie that would make Jan’s brain and genius happy?”
