Tim Walz opens 'big party' at Milwaukee Kamala Harris rally during DNC Night 2
EXCLUSIVE: As delegates hold a ceremonial roll call to nominate Kamala Harris — perhaps the first to be soundtracked by a DJ — the vice president will deliver a speech in Milwaukee.
Expect a split-screen moment, including Harris being beamed into the United Center from the must-win Badger State, according to a campaign source. Networks are also expected to carry some coverage of Harris' speech.
At the United Center, every seat was decked out in flashing lights as each state was called. Harris was officially nominated earlier this month in a virtual roll call, so this is ceremonial. Producers instead staged a much more crowded procession, with celebrities like Sean Astin who announced the votes for Indiana and Wendell Pierce for Louisiana. When Georgia announced its votes, Lil Jon made a surprise appearance in the aisles.
