The release date for season 2 of The Squid Game has been announced, marking the upcoming return of the hit Netflix drama.

Squid Game season 2 will premiere on Netflix just after Christmas, starting on December 26, 2024. We now know that the series will end with season 3, which will be released in 2025.

"Three years after winning the Squid Game, player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their cruel sport," reads the Squid Game Season 2 synopsis. "With this fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun begins in the most obvious place: find the man in a suit playing ddakji on the subway. But when his efforts finally bear fruit, the path to taking down the organization proves deadlier than he could have imagined: to end the game, he must go back in."
