That’s Emperor Philippa Georgiou, played by Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh, in the trailer for Star Trek: Section 31, due out in early 2025. In the original film, Yeoh reprises her role as Philippa Georgiou, a character she first played in the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. She’s now tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets while confronting the sins of her past.
Star Trek: Section 31 is written by Craig Sweeny and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi. The film is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Craig Sweeny, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Yeoh and is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
Also revealed at Comic-Con was Miku Martineau (Honor Society) who will play young Philippa in the film. The rest of the cast includes Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rahl (Hannibal), Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia), and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry).
