The “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” series at Paramount+ has added Sandro Rosta to the cast.

Production on the series will begin later this month. Rosta will appear as a cadet in the series alongside previously announced cast members Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané and Zoë Steiner. Holly Hunter was previously announced to play the academy’s captain and chancellor, with Paul Giamatti set to play the season’s villain.
Additionally, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman will reprise their roles from previous “Star Trek” shows in the series. Gina Yashere will appear as a recurring guest star.
Rosta is a recent graduate of the Oxford School of Drama. He recently made his professional debut in "The Harmony Test" at the Hampstead Theatre. While at university he appeared in plays such as "Romeo & Juliet", "The Cherry Orchard" and "The Watsons" at the Jermyn Street Theatre.
